The Traffic of Motor Vehicles along Trakia Motorway is Opened Up to Intersection “Petolachkata” in both Directions
The traffic of motor vehicles along Trakia Motorway is opened up to intersection “Petolachkata” already in the direction from Burgas to Sofia. Vehicles are allowed to drive in both carriageways up to the new motorway section, part of Lot 4 – from Yambol /from km 276+200 to km 291+000/ - up to the junction with Road І-7 “Zimnitsa - Veselinovo”. The commissioning of the left carriageway of the motorway was inspected in person by the Chairman of the Management Board of Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) eng. Lazar Lazarov, and Eng. Iliana Zaharieva, a member of the MB of RIA.
For all vehicles the traffic is organized as follows:
- To Burgas: road junction on Trakia Motorway with Road І-7 at km 290+510 – Road І-7 –road junction “Petolachkata” – Road І-6 –Karnobat - Trakia Motorway–Burgas;
- To Sofia: Burgas–Trakia Motorway–Karnobat - Road І-6 – road junction „Petolachkata”- Road I-7 – road junction on Trakia Motorway with Road І-7 at km 290+510 – Trakia Motorway – Sofia.
Besides the newly constructed sections drivers can use also an alternative route. In the direction Sofia – Burgas they can drive along Trakia Motorway – the junction with Road I-7 – and then along Road I-7 to Veselinovo – Kozarevo, Road II-53 –Zornitsa – Sredets – along Road II-79 to Burgas. The same route can be used to drive from Burgas to Sofia.
